Superbowl

Ok, best commercial? Staples. Definitely Staples. Most of them were stupid though. No spectacular ones. And the companies that reused old commercials lose points. Come on guys, it's the Superbowl. If you're gonna shell out the big bucks for a spot, at least make it a good one. Sheesh. And Mitsubishi and CBS lose double points. Mitsubishi for dissing Camry. I dislike any company that tries to sell its product by saying, 'hey, we're better than these guys, so there, neener neener' which is basically what most of those commercials do. (Same goes for the Progresso soup commercials, but I won't get into that.) And CBS for insulting my intelligence. They basically told me I should watch CSI because everyone else does, so obviously, if I don't watch it, I'm stupid. Same message to both Mitsu and CBS: Tell me why I should be interested in your product, not just that I should be, period. Give me a reason to try it and I might. Otherwise, shut up and let me drive my Camry and watch Alias in peace.

Oh, you want comments on the actual game itself? Well, boring first half. And I missed all the scoring that happened in the first half 'cause I was walking the dog. Meh. Came back halfway through the half-time show. Nelly? Kid Rock? Justin Timberlake?? Make it stop. Please! Must... reach... mute... button... I do have to say that Janet Jackson does a good Orc impression. Finally some action in the second half. Exciting end too. The game actually turned out better than the commercials. That's gotta be a first.
