It's a boy!

Click your way over to my Geocities site and say hi to the newest member of our family, Henry! He's an 8 month old black and white domestic shorthair that we got at the animal shelter on Friday. Very sweet kitty. Apparently given up by his previous owners because they had a baby. *snort* Their loss. I wonder what they did with the dog they supposedly had. That's why we got this particular cat; because his description said he was used to dogs, so I assume that means he lived with one. He's still not too sure about our dog, Lady, but the incentive of food gives him an amazing amount of courage, even going so far as to steal it out of the dog's bowl while she's eating. That cat is extremely lucky that Lady isn't food aggressive, otherwise he would have been dinner last night. As it was, she just continued eating, completely ignoring him. I had to keep the cat distracted so the poor dog could finish her dinner in peace. And the dog isn't the only one he bugs for food. He actually begs at the dining table. Even the dog doesn't do that! In some ways, he acts more like a dog than Lady does. But then, I'm convinced Lady's always thought she's a cat. We have some seriously messed up animals. :p

In other news, I'm actually making progress in reading LOTR! Frodo just got to Rivendell. Go Glorfy!
