Stupid friggin' clueless PETA protestors. Unless the police clear them out soon looks like I'll have some entertainment in the tower today. News just covered some of it live. Stuck a microphone in one of the protestors' faces and he said the Zoo is a partnership in extinction. Right. Who just had a healthy Panda cub born a few days ago, and has done something no other zoo outside of China has been able to do: have a Panda cub survive to adulthood. Who's trying to save the lives of 11 endangered elephants, while all the protestors do is block the main entrance to the Zoo parking lot and impede traffic on a public street? One would think that PETA actually wants the elephants to die, since they're trying so hard to stop the Zoo and Wild Animal Park from saving them. Not that it's going to work, but it bugs that the protestors are only telling half-truths. Yes, the elephants are being taken from the wild, but they'll be killed if they stay. PETA fails to include that last bit in all their vociferous mudslinging at the Zoo.
