"In grammar school they taught me that a frog turning into a prince was a fairy tale. In the university they taught me that a frog turning into a prince was a fact!" -Ron Carlson
I just found a mistake in something I wrote for my English class the other day. I wrote "they're" instead of "their." That really disgusts me because there/their/they're mistakes are one of my pet peeves. I never used to do that before but now it happens quite a bit. I blame the internet and all the people who populate it who can't write to save their lives. No, come to think of it, I blame the public school system that can't seem to teach kids how to read and write anymore. And don't even get me started on apostrophes.
